Mount Baldy – Eagle River, Alaska

March 15, 2016

With the extra hour of sunlight this week from daylight savings time, I just couldn’t wait for the weekend to hike another trail! Mount Baldy Trail starts off fairly wide and well groomed, but with the snow it was not so easy to locate the trail once it narrowed. We ended up losing the trail and hiked straight up the mountain. I don’t recommend doing this as it took probably three times as long and was three times as hard. BUT I made it to the top!

Once you reach the top (Baldy Ridge) there is a GREAT view…even on a snowy day. The trail is also easy to spot again once you are at the peak of Mount Baldy.

Mount Baldy Trail can continue to Blacktail Ridge, but I am saving that hike for another day!

This blog is simply a log of my personal experiences. It is not a travel guide, a trail guide, any other sort of a guide, and it is not intended to give information for replication.
