Falls Creek Trail – Anchorage, Alaska

March 23, 2016

Falls Creek Trail is located in Chaugach State Park, and the trailhead for this hike is right off of Seward Highway. This is a BEAUTIFUL drive along Turnagain Arm in order to get to it.

The trail started off very steep with no snow. My walking stick was very useful during this hike. Overall this trail was not easy to hike on the way or the way down, and unfortunately I was only able to make it to mile 1.75 because the snow got too deep (about mid-thigh).

I did get to see a couple of Dall sheep during this hike! This is definitely a trail that I will attempt again after the snow has melted some.

For more information I found the following websites helpful:

This blog is simply a log of my personal experiences. It is not a travel guide, a trail guide, any other sort of a guide, and it is not intended to give information for replication.
