Bore Tide at Falls Creek trailhead – Seward Highway, Anchorage, Alaska

May 8, 2016

I attempted to hike Falls Creek trail again, however there is still a lot of snow about 1.5 miles in to the trail and the weather was not ideal. We turned around about 2 miles in. On my previous attempt, I only made it about 1.75 miles up.

As soon as we got back to the trailhead, the bore tide was coming in! That could not have been more perfect timing! Not the most exciting picture, but I have never seen a bore tide before!

This blog is simply a log of my personal experiences. It is not a travel guide, a trail guide, any other sort of a guide, and it is not intended to give information for replication.
