Eklutna Tailrace – Palmer, Alaska

June 16, 2016

I FINALLY caught a King Salmon! I was getting (and by “getting” I mean already was) impatient and frustrated. But persistence has paid off!

This water at the Eklutna Tailrace is a beautiful teal color. I loved fishing here even without catching a fish, because of the asthetics of this place.

I fished here twice this week, and saw this little beaver (pictured above) both times.

My first King Salmon was about ten pounds in weight.

All three of us caught a King this morning, so I’d say that was a good morning of fishing!

This blog is simply a log of my personal experiences. It is not a travel guide, a trail guide, any other sort of a guide, and it is not intended to give information for replication.
