Ridge Peak to McHugh Peak – Anchorage, Alaska

May 8, 2017

It is finally after-work hiking season with all the daylight in the evenings. We chose to hike to McHugh Peak via the North Ridge Trail (supposedly the easier trail) from Honey Bear parking lot.

This was a very windy hike, and even the dog was hunkering down behind rocks to get out of the wind.

There is a tiny bit of rock climbing to get to the highest point on the mountain.

There is a beautiful view of Turnagain Arm from the summit.

This blog is simply a log of my personal experiences. It is not a travel guide, a trail guide, any other sort of a guide, and it is not intended to give information for replication.
